Who we are
This website is operated by ZerOne Hosting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.
Registered address: 80 Lytham Road, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 3AQ, UK
Data Controller contact: webmaster@zeronehosting.com
For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, ZerOne Hosting Ltd is the Data Controller for personal data collected through this website.
What this policy covers
This policy describes what happens to your personal data when you visit zeronehosting.com and any subpage of it. It also describes the third-party services we rely on to operate the website and what data those services receive.
This policy does not cover the data we hold about you as a customer of our hosting or server-management services (account details, billing records, support tickets, server logs, etc.). Those data flows are governed separately by our customer-facing privacy notice, which we issue at the point of sale.
What data we collect
When you simply browse the site
We do not set any cookies. We do not run analytics or behavioural tracking. We do not embed advertising pixels, social media trackers, or session-replay tools.
The website is served from Cloudflare Pages. As part of operating the network, Cloudflare retains limited request metadata (IP addresses, timestamps, request paths, user-agent strings) for short periods to detect abuse, mitigate denial-of-service attacks and provide the service. We do not have access to per-visit logs and we do not use this data for any analytical or marketing purpose.
When you submit the contact form
The contact form on the Get Started page collects:
- Name — required, so we know who to address the reply to
- Email address — required, so we can reply
- Company — optional
- Area of interest — which of our services you're enquiring about
- Your message — whatever you write to us
Submissions are processed by Web3Forms (a third-party form processor) which then delivers them to our support inbox. We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list, and we will not pass your details to any third party for marketing purposes.
When you purchase a service
When you click any of the "Get Started" pricing buttons, you are redirected to Stripe (our payment processor) to complete checkout. Your card details, billing address and any other payment information are collected and processed by Stripe directly on their own pages. We never see, store or process your card number.
After a successful payment, Stripe notifies us of the order, including your name, billing email, the plan purchased and the amount paid, so we can set up your service. The terms of how Stripe processes your data are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. No analytics cookies, no preference cookies, no advertising cookies. Because we set no cookies, no cookie banner is shown.
If you proceed through to Stripe to complete a purchase, Stripe will set cookies on their own domain to operate their checkout. Those cookies are governed by Stripe, not by us.
Third-party services we use
The website depends on the following third parties to operate. Each one may receive limited data about you as a consequence of how the web works (notably, your IP address when your browser makes a request).
Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.)
We use Cloudflare for DNS, CDN and as the host (Cloudflare Pages) for this website. When you visit any page, your browser makes a request that passes through Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare retains limited request metadata for operational and security purposes.
Place of processing: United States and other jurisdictions where Cloudflare operates edge nodes — see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Web3Forms (Web3Forms / Statichunt)
We use Web3Forms to receive submissions from our contact form. When you submit the form, the data you entered is sent to Web3Forms' API and forwarded to our support inbox.
Personal data processed: the fields you entered into the form.
Place of processing: see Web3Forms' privacy policy.
Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd.)
We use Stripe to process payments. If you proceed to checkout, you are redirected to Stripe's pages and your payment details are collected directly by Stripe.
Personal data processed: name, billing address, email, card details, transaction history.
Place of processing: Ireland (Stripe Payments Europe) with onward transfers to the United States — see Stripe's privacy policy.
Google Fonts (Google LLC)
The website loads typefaces from Google's font CDN (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). When your browser fetches the fonts, Google receives your IP address and user-agent string. Google does not set any cookies when serving fonts.
Personal data processed: IP address; user-agent string.
Place of processing: United States — see Google's privacy policy.
Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent — when you voluntarily submit the contact form, you are consenting to us using that data to reply to you.
- Contract — when you purchase a service, processing your personal data is necessary to perform the contract of supply.
- Legitimate interests — for operating, securing and improving the website (e.g. the limited request metadata Cloudflare retains for DDoS mitigation).
- Legal obligation — where we are required by law to retain certain data (e.g. payment records for tax purposes).
How long we keep your data
- Contact form submissions — kept in our support inbox for as long as is needed to answer your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up. Routine pruning of older threads typically removes them within 24 months unless they evolved into a customer relationship.
- Customer billing records — retained for the period required by HMRC (currently 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year) and then deleted.
- Operational logs at Cloudflare — retained per Cloudflare's own retention policy; typically days to weeks.
International data transfers
Several of our processors (Cloudflare, Stripe, Google Fonts, Web3Forms) operate infrastructure outside the UK and EEA, primarily in the United States. Each of these providers maintains a data transfer mechanism approved under UK GDPR — typically Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or participation in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details are in each provider's own privacy policy linked above.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Erase your data (where there is no overriding legal obligation for us to keep it)
- Restrict how we process your data
- Object to processing that is based on our legitimate interests
- Data portability — receive a copy of your data in a machine-readable format
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we have mishandled your data
How to exercise your rights
Email webmaster@zeronehosting.com with your request. We will respond within one calendar month, in line with UK GDPR. There is no fee for exercising your rights, unless requests are manifestly unfounded or repetitive.
Security
Traffic to this website is served exclusively over HTTPS (TLS). Form submissions and payment redirects are likewise made over encrypted connections. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) operates a perimeter that filters malicious traffic before it reaches our origin. Despite our and our processors' efforts, no system is completely secure; if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the ICO in line with our UK GDPR obligations.
Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a new feature to the website or change one of the providers listed above. The "Latest update" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes we will, where practical, give notice via the website itself.
